History

Our team has been involved in charitable missions for the past 15 years. Much of our work has been in the impoverished regions of East Africa and South America. We often collaborate with churches and other non-profit organizations that are devoted to missionary work. Our projects include construction of schools, churches, and healthcare facilities. Most recently, through our collaboration with Venti-Now, we made several trips to provide support to hospitals in need by delivering and installing ventilators and clinical supplies in-response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This work also included optimization of infrastructure in various facilities.

Current Projects

While on assignment in Tanzania, we were introduced to Shirati Hospital.  Shirati is a village setting, approximately 300 kilometers (5 hours drive) from the nearest airport in Mwanza. Shirati Hospital is a multi-discipline treatment facility that was established in 1934. It spans across a 1,200-acre campus. Being the only full-service hospital in the vicinity, it treats over 25,000 patients per year. Ironically, Shirati has operated all these years without a proper Emergency Department. Our current mission is to design and construct a modern Emergency and Trauma Center on the Shirati Hospital campus.

The facility is being developed and constructed by Hurns Holding Company. Renard Hurns is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of Hurns Holding Company, specializing in architectural and engineering construction design. He has been specializing in architectural as well as civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering design work for various Commercial, Industrial, and residential projects throughout the United States.

Current / Ongoing Projects:

  • Donation & installation  of critical care medical equipment
  • Donation of time to treat patients
  • Construction of schools
